ugh boyfriend/guy troubles.......please comment!

Ohkay so i broke up with my boyfriend....and the day before we broke up at lunch one of my guy friends did this thing to piss off my boyfriend. ohkay so my guy friend all of a sudden wraps his arm around me, hugs me, then puts his head on my shoulder, then turns to my boyfriend and says, "she is my girlfriend". and i was like, "what no....". and then my bf got pissed at me for what my guy friend did. and so tht nite i broke up with my bf....and then the next day he told lies about how we broke up...and then told people that i should just go out with my guy friend and hav him as my rebound, since i was all over him at lunch....when i wasnt all over him! but i really and truly do love tht guy friend.....and i think i always have, but idk what to do....because i am not sure if he feels that way about me....
